I finished my first grownup knit sweater this month, in fact I am wearing it today! It’s a great (free!!) pattern written by Elizabeth F. Smith called Mud Season. I found the pattern to be easy to follow and the fit of my finished sweater to be perfect. I am so in love with this pattern I have plans to make two more of them. This one I randomly striped with Louisa Harding Hulda (luxurious yarn!) in blue and green. It took about 2.5 balls of each color. I have some more Louisa Harding Hulda in red and cream – enough red to make a solid color sweater, and I should have enough left over to make a cream sweater with a small red stripe.
The pattern knits up with a bulky weight yarn making it a quick knit and can be made in little over a week if you don’t get distracted by other WIPs, even by a slower knitter like me!
