Halfway through the blizzard

The midwest blizzard has passed but the snow remains. My measurements on our property put us at about 15 inches with 2-4 foot drifts. The photo here is about halfway through the blizzard as the boys attempted to keep the driveway at least partially clear so when my DH got home he could pull into it. I am now officially sick of snow and it has lost all of it’s charms for this season. Bring on spring!

I spent most of my home bound time dyeing & skeining the last batch for the Winter 2010 round of the Tonal Club and the Who’s Your Doctor Club. I did find some time to knit and crochet though, here are my most recent finished objects as they relate to mittens! I still have several other finished items but I will save those for the next post with more snow photos!

Flip top mittens for Boy Genius so his hands stay toasty warm with all that snow shoveling still ahead, handspun mittens for me with enough of the handspun left for an earwarmer, and bulky wool mittens for the smallest girl child to match her red coat:
