Spring Cleaning & Spinning

The gloom and doom and unseasonably cold weather has broken and we had a beautiful day today. I took advantage of the sunshine and ran errands including some DIY goodies for a new skein winder at the lumber yard.

Boy Genius put together my new shelves and I have all of my dyes and most of my jars in a new home. My little storage cart is all setup to dye on the fly without having to setup the counter then tear down over and over again.

My BFF Julie fixed me up with a hackle yesterday and I got right to the blending tonight. Little E joined in and has quite the natural talent for fiber blending.

Our fiber came out like a cloud with some merino I had dyed green and some pink dyed mill ends blended in.

I got it all spun up tonight with some delightful pink spring flowers. I was so tickled I took a quicky photo while it’s still on the bobbin. I can’t wait to get it fulled and set and see the finished product.
