Peter Vincent pouring Midori in Fright Night

Peter Vincent pouring Midori in Fright Night

Remember the movie poster from Fright Night I posted way back when? Yes, this one with David Tennant as a badass vampire hunter.

Have you refreshed your memory? Fright Night came out in theaters this past weekend and I managed to get away to see it on Saturday night. It was good. It was buy and put next to Zombieland in my movie collection good. Colin Farrell? Creepy. Super creepy. Don’t want to talk to him because his manners and eye contact is inappropriate kinda creepy. David Tennant? Pathetically hilarious. Anton Yelchin? I didn’t like him until this movie but he was good – I adored his character.

After seeing clips and teasers for the movie last week I decided I needed to explore the Peter Vincent drink of choice, Midori. It was bright green and delicious looking. I had never had it before (maybe in a mixed drink and didn’t realize it) but research told me it was melon flavored. MELON FLAVORED BOOZE! Yes! My darling husband brought me home a bottle and some deep fried burritos and I tucked right in.

Holy Gallifrey, this stuff is like gasoline with a hint of melon! Perhaps you just shouldn’t drink it straight but I was not about to back down. I needed a Peter Vincent inspired yarn and I like to research my inspiration thoroughly (yeah, research, that’s what it is). The bottle is pretty much gone, I am still drinking it straight. I haven’t decided if it is better cold or room temperature but regardless I have a new colorway, Midori Me. It’s in the shop now on Dyed on Demand, currently only available on select bases until it undergoes further testing. I’m pretty much in love with it – the colorway, not the drink.

But wait, there’s more! I spent some time cleaning up the shop and reorganizing things. You can now browse what is available from Dyed on Demand **by base**. This should be helpful when shopping by weight, price, or project.  For example, you can find all the DoD colorways for 8-bit by going to the Hand Dyed Yarns menu, then 8-bit Sport, then 8-bit Dyed on Demand! Yay!

I have switched up some options on the stitch markers as well. I have moved all of the stitch markers (with the exception of the snagless rings) to a new category simply labeled Customizable Stitch Markers. Each set can be customized at time of order with either a closed jump ring or a clasp making them available for all crafts! Additionally, Who Club, Tonal Club and Random Fandom club reorder items are all up to date in their respective member areas. Happy Shopping!
